Tehran, Dec 26, IRNA

Iran-Gaza-Mottaki
Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said here Thursday that Iran has got the permission to send relief aid to Gaza.

In an interview with the channel 2 TV of Iran, Mottaki said Tehran's talks with Cairo over the issue have proved fruitful and effective.

Elsewhere in the interview, Mottaki said certain regional and global issues have prompted the world leaders to visit Iran.

"Iraqi Prime Minister is to travel Tehran in the next few days and Pakistani President will come to Tehran in a not so far future," he added.

He said the visits to Iran are partly because of Iran's relations with certain states and partly because of ongoing problems worldwide.

"Energy is an issue of global debate. On the other hand, current events in the region, including Afghanistan, Iraq and the Caucasus have made holding regional-wide talks more necessary," he added.

Elsewhere in the interview, Mottaki said during Malaysian Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmed Badawi's Iran visit, Iranians and Malaysians had prepared software of mutual ties in banking and non-banking domains.
